I have also heated the screen to 40c using a hairdryer, No Change, put pressure on the edges of the screen (No change) applied a suction cup (1ins) to one area of the screen (No change)

Mac A1990 Screen
Need some advise on an unknown history Mac 1990 that I have bought,
Issues relate to what could be described as a water mark on some areas of the screen, This is only visible on a white background, Shows a blue type breakthrough, or patch on some areas.
Using an external monitor the external monitor is clean (No issues)
? Is this a backlight issue (Reflective layers) or is it the main LCD that is the issue.
I have noted the cost difference for just replacement layers ($10) against $400 for a LCD unit.
I do have the capability...

That must be the worst I have seen in a long time, I have other issues with some of the Youtube content (Lots of chancers on there as well) No ESD precautions taken, the problem is others assume they know what they are doing, and do the same!

Used Android, Apple, and pure Linux machines, Apple costs are high but considering I have one that is over ten years old and still runs (No issues with updates over the years) as to Microsoft )No longer used or recommended in the industry I work in, (I have wasted two months of my lifetime watching the blue screen of death or this version s no longer supported) Mainly use Linux software now, but changes are about to happen due to ARM and M1, M2, M3 / I think that Intel and Microsoft are on loosing ground now (Look at how many developments Microsoft start...

Hello All, many thanks for your forum, Name is Ian (UK) started of in the radio and TV industry (1970) when TVs were the size of hen houses, then moved to systems engineer (Oil and Gas industry)
But enjoy the challenge of repairing most items (Electronics 1930s onward) Cars and so on,
