Asus FX507MP P3V3AL 484 ohm, is normal?
Hello,
I'm trying to repair an Asus FX507MP that is nor turning on. It has several faulty components on 5v and 3v3 rail, but now after desoldering several power switch from P5V0AL I have 1,6kohm (waiting for the replacements to resolder the new ones).
But on rail P3V3AL and VRB_VDD3 after desoldering 4 drmos from the GPU i'm having 484ohms could it be a normal value for this rail? injecting 1v only has 0.005A current consuming.
I opened the jumpers from the 3V-5V converter to isolate the load section to diagnose (also opened the P3V3A bridge)...

looks like they replace it with a different chip.... maybe it's a 3v-5V buck converter like TPS1225 or equivalent

Sorry I was a bit busy an this part is not accesible only taking off the rear cover, I needed time to disassembly it.
Remember the readings are with components soldereng to the board so may differ when they are unsoldered.

That's my next question.... change the defective IC with the boardview compatible part or change it with the Diodes inc. part number... 1.5V or 3.3V?

I'm so stupid right now..... the name of the IC is labeled on pin 5 Netname "AP7343D15W57"

maybe I can help you, I got a MSI 17G3 with the same 3v/5V regulator. I'll measure all resistance when I arrive at home

Help me to identify this IC!
Hello all,
I'm trying to fix an Asus Tuf FX507 2023 with multiple fails, but there is one component that I cannot found to replace. From the boardview I got this info: "LIN REG. SOT25 5P//INVENTEC/6019B2084201"

Do you know what is this IC?

if I am not mistaken, the embedded controller must be programmed automatically from the bios if the chip it's a new one

Pin 1 resistor 1kohms
Pin 2 resistor 22.2ohms
Pin 3 resistor 1kohms
Pin 4 resistor 22.2 ohms
The resistor near pin 1 is 100kohms...

I have a 17G3 Msi laptop, if you still need the photo I can upload it with the values that you need

it's a TPS1225C and provide 3V/5V always, I have a similar issue with a GS75 and had replaced that buck converter and also ENE chip

Yes, I swapped ENE Chip and reprogrammed it and the laptops boots but also have error 43 on dGPU so no HDMI or displayport video only can use the laptop screen, next step is build a DYI reballing station to reball GPU or replace it....

Re: msi gs75 stealth 10se no 5V
Right now I have tried to connect my ch341a to ENE9028Q to check if I can connect to it and read/write data
I can read/write data succesful and applied a new EC firmware from MSI website.
Now when I power on the laptop the light start white and change to orange, CPU fan spin and CPU and GPU is getting hot, but I don't have image, no led is powered on keyboard.
So my question now is... is it possible that ENE chip could be faulty? neoprogrammer can detect it and write without issues but is it possible that some parts are wrong and...

Re: msi gs75 stealth 10se no 5V
This is my blog to post my first laptop repair hahahaa.
Now I'm having all rails with the correct voltage, with thermal camera I see tps51285 and ENE9028Q is hot and when I press power button also PCH is warming (not too much) but doesn't power on.

Re: msi gs75 stealth 10se no 5V
with power supply connected with thermal camera shows tps1285 and ENE chip getting hot. Maybe next step is replace ENE9028 chip

Re: msi gs75 stealth 10se no 5V
I replaced the TPS51285B and now i'm having both LDO voltages but still missing 5Vsus and 3.3Vsus. ENE IC is sending 3,3V to tps51285 Enable pins, now i'm a bit lost what to check....

Re: msi gs75 stealth 10se no 5V
thanks mon2 for your response i'll rework the ic to be sure it's well soldered also tomorrow I'll receive a new 1285B IC to double check (also a ene9028b)
