Re: 2020 Acer Swift SF114-32-P6M2 (model N17W6): expanding internal storage
Hi ianbak,
Thank you for your message.
I just plugged in a 1Tb-M.2 SATA drive (Fikwot FN203 1To M.2 SATA SSD - SLC Cache 3D NAND TLC SATA III 6Gb/s M.2 2280 NGFF) and it works perfectly.
So the Acer Swift SF114-32-P6M2 (model N17W6)'s M.2 port does NOT support NVMe - only SATA.
I've read somewhere it can't handle anything higher than 1Tb though. Not sure whether this is true or not but just to be on the safe side I stuck to 1Tb, which is already way better...
