Re: Help finding replacement resistor
Thanks to all who gave me suggestions for replacement resistor. I bought the resistor in link on my post above & meter works now. These are very compact 2.5 watt resistors. Resistance measured right on spec.

Re: Help finding replacement resistor
This looks like the best/closest match that I have found.
My inside pad is approx .210" apart at ends of resistor.
My pad length is approx. .180" long/.200" wide.
This resistor will only sit on/overlap pad approx. .025 on each pad. Think this will be a problem?
Working voltage is 200V. Not sure what original resistor is.
Anyone see any problem using this resistor? They are not cheap, $6.73 each.
They are 2.5 watt, haven't found them in 2 watt. These are low profile height.

Re: Help finding replacement resistor
Thanks for the link. Resistor at link looks to be too narrow of length & too wide to sit on pads where old resistor is soldered onto.
Called Fluke parts dept. today & resistor is no longer available from them. Search continues....

Re: Help finding replacement resistor
Google is not being very friendly finding a replacement. Seems to be very few 750 ohm resistors, at least 2 watt, & 2% or less tolerance in the size/style I need.

Help finding replacement resistor
Need help finding a replacement resistor for fluke mutimeter 76 series.
Top one in pic has burnt open. Bottom resistor value is 750 ohm.
Here is the fluke description of the 2 resistors, both the same value.
RES,CERM,750,+-2%,2W,100PPM,MELF
Resistor length is approx. .370"(9.398mm)
Resistor diameter is approx. .110"(2.794mm)
Have have been searching but can't find anything close with measured length/diameter/rating. May have to call fluke tomorrow for part.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hello from the Hoosier state.
I have little elect. experience(Am a electrician by trade) & associate degree in electronics many years ago. Found this site by Google search on monitor repair. Fixed 1 but looking to fix a touch screen now that was given to me.
Looks like with the knowledge on this site I may be able to fix my second 1.
Are you ready for some football? Superbowl here in my home state tomorrow. Hoping for a close scoring game.
