E490 Supervisor Password Help Please

I bought this laptop thinkpad e490 from a auction where the owner has dementia and cannot remember the password when i attempted to reach out to him his daughter informed me. i tried the lenovo autopatch but i am a noob and dont know how to get a backup or flash. I downloaded a utility that backs up your bios and it is in the .rom format. How do i flash it now, the patched version?

Hello, my reason in coming here is because you have the Lenovo utility i need and I cannot find anywhere but here. I am a recently discharged U.S. Marine did 10 years, pushed recruits for 2 years and served in both invasions. My love and passion are women first and then cellphones and laptops. I get a ton of laptops through me recycle shop that have passwords, from my standpoint they are legit and actually forgot them or a school sends their unwanted laptops and a few soon to be hacking 1st graders managed to break the passwords...
