I also had this same issue. I replaced the transistors and used the 2 watt resistor. Any idea what would cause distortion in this unit. I'm using bluetooth but can not turn the sound up very much due to distortion.

Hi guys, I hope someone will be able to help me with my Asus monitor. When I first turn it on and connect to my pc the monitor comes on for a few seconds then gets some strange lines across it and blacks out. Sometimes it will flicker on and off 2-3 times then go black. The blue power light stays on but unlike "2 seconds to black" I cannot see a picture on screen with flashlight. I'm uploading some pics of the screen just before it blacks out. I have checked the caps and visually they all look ok.
