Re: M.2 SSD missing ground pin, is that ok?
Thanks for replying. There's enough left (probably the solder) that I could likely put a new contact on with an iron or draw a trace with some conducting pencil.
I'm new to testing components with multimeters. Should I be looking for resistance in this case?...

Re: Please help me understand what I did to my Acer Nitro 5 an-515-57 using a SREP
Been thinking a bit more on the flash process. Most of the .cfg file is simple "replace some 00s and 01s with FFs" but this part stands out.

I'm not sure what that did, but I recall not having to enter my BIOS password...

M.2 SSD missing ground pin, is that ok?
I’ve been doing some testing and apparently all the insertions and removals caused a pin to snap off. Is it safe to use/alive? I don’t have another, actually functional computer available to test it on, but schematics show the ground rail is unified with many pins dedicated to it. Since I am no expert in the low-lever function of electronics, I thought I would ask some.
I have attached a photo of the drive.

Re: Acer NITRO 5 -AN515-57 need a clean bios
What if I don't have a back-up because in all my life of flashing aftermarket data I never had a problem until I tried to unlock the most crippled gaming rig line in history with all its' fancy protections? What do I need to get my an515-57-919c a BIOS it can take? I'm thinking I corrupted the ME region or something, just get fans and heat with boot loop, USB wont detect either.
I was on v1.19 on a GH53G LA-L191P Rev1C. Can I upload the right .fd file and give some info like serials and such? Another thought, I used an...

Please help me understand what I did to my Acer Nitro 5 an-515-57 using a SREP
So I had 4 hours to kill, knew what bottlenecks I could easily open (99ns memory latency wtf for one), and wanted advanced settings in my bios options. I'd thought removing batteries and power would be fine in case of bad settings, and heard about fn+esc to recover in case of corruption, so I wasn't worried.
I have an an515-57-919c, i9 11900h, rtx 3060, gh53g la-191p rev 1c mobo, xmc qh128ahig BIOS on v1.19.
Ran the tool here, user password set, secboot off, but tpm left on/uncleared. Saved changes of a small undervolt and unlocked overclocking.:...
