Just now i found the replies to my query. I have attached a pic of the psu and the sub board that has the switching ic, I have replaced all the mentioned caps,
I have looked on line for a circuit , but without any success...

I am very new to this forum, I retired 12 years ago but i am gradually being drawn back into electronics again.When i worked my speciality was audio equipment and radio studio, and transmission equip.
My problem with the psu is that it just will not start to switch, it usesa UC3848 ic the start up voltage supplied is 13 Volts (min seems to be 16V). It looks to be a simple problem b but it is not , the switching board works when supplier by a psu when removed from the unit .

Lpt63 switched mode psu will not start , it is made by astec, and i think several other manufacturers. A schematic would be of great help

Dynacord mixer amps have a time in circuit , i think -11Volt, each amplifier , the psu, thermal trip on mains traffo, dc at o/p, will pull this down , through a diode D320, D120, D121, in Pmate 1000, The time in diode that is pulling down the _10Volts will quickly indicate which unit is causing the problem
