Re: Sony Bravia KDL-46SL100 (no picture, but I feel so close)
Yeah, I'm wondering if he was just trying to soak me for some cash. I told him when I dropped the tv off that I thought it was the tcon. As far as soldering goes, I gave that a shot (first time in 20 years) and shaky hands with lack of skill resulted in a mess on the tcon. I junked it. But, the new board is in the mail. I'm hoping that power supply isn't bad. If so, I will have rebuilt the whole thing. Well, in reality I'm hoping the panel isn't bad...

Fingers crossed then. I'm a little peeved that I dropped $150 on a main board for now reason. Not sure if I can return that since I'm not licensed. A well. If it's the tcon, I'm only out $200 total and the tv was free. Thank you for such a fast response. I'll reply once the board is in with the results. Maybe I can get near some wifi soon and post that pic.

Read an old post on here from the Wizard about testing a small white fuse on the T-con. Fuse was bad. Ordered T-con and am waiting but decided to test the power supply in the mean time. All seems good except two wires that say 15v are not registering. I can't find a schematic for this board (I am searching with my phone, no Internet at the moment. Power...
