Hey all. Have an issue with a liquid damaged A2251. Won't power on but draws 5v and cycling from 0 to 0.24A. Followed all the steps that are stated here https://repair. wiki/w/A2251_2020_13%22_MacBook_Pro (except for checking whether the laptop is in DFU mode) to troubleshoot the issue and all readings seem to be in the normal range with the laptop connected to a power supply through a universal MacBook connector set to 12V.
Peripheral components around CD3217 seem to be short-free.
Any idea where to look next? Any info is greatly appreciated!

Help with this FPC connector 820-01521-A
Hello everybody. Working on a donor board of a 820-01521-A and kinda got stuck while removing the USB-C FPC connector. I am now wondering how to properly remove it from the board (without damaging it) and what about putting it back on the motherboard? I thought of applying heat from the other side of the board in the area where the FPC connector is located, but there is just too many components that will shift around when the heat is applied.
Any help will be appreciated!...Last edited by SMDFlea; 09-08-2023, 05:15 AM. Reason: Added "820-01521-A" to thread title, moved thread to laptop forum
