Re: Proscan 40LC45Q
Appreciate the info. After reading the manual again, mine is supposed to be blue in standby & red when it's on? But, nothing happens when I press the power button??

Re: Proscan 40LC45Q
I downloaded the pdf manual but unless I missed it, there's no reference to the light in the document I have? I was really hoping someone on here either has this model or had one, that could tell me if the light is supposed to come on when the power cord is plugged in? From what I gather, Lights on some models turn red or green when power button is pressed, other models, the blue light comes on when the power button is pressed? Hopefully someone will chime in on this?

Proscan 40LC45Q
Ok, here goes... I aqquired a "Proscan 40LC45Q" which doesn't work. When I plug the power cord in, a little blue light on the front comes on?
My question is, Is this supposed to be on when the TV is plugged in or is it the main power light to indicate that the TV is in operating mode?
The reason I ask, the power buttons have no effect, the screen is black, no other lights come on when I press the power button, the little blue light does nothing?
After reading "Umpteen" posts on this particular model, all indications pointed to a failed power supply board?...

Re: Older Sceptre X9G naga V
I thank you for your quick reply, however when I took the board back up from it's mountings & turned it over, it seems this board goes to the scrap pile?! 2 different solder joints appear to have shorted around one of the caps I replaced & the solder tracked to another component that looks like it's burnt? I'm not going to spend any more time or money on this one!

Older Sceptre X9G naga V
Ok, guys & gals, whichever the case may be?....Newbe here.
I aquired this Sceptre X9G Naga V 19". When I first plugged it up for power, there was No power light. but after I left it plugged in for a minute, the power light gradually lit up real dim? I plugged the vga in to a running computer & nothing showed on the screen (I assumed this would happen) since the power light was so dim, (I had to hold my hand around it to be able to see it.)
Ok, so I ordered the caps kit Even though none of the caps looked bad, I replaced all 10 caps & double checked my joints...
