HP Victus 16 – Hall Sensor Issue Caused by FU6 Voltage Drop (Fix)

I had the same issue on an HP Victus 16 from this generation.

Symptoms:
- black screen
- flickering screen
- random shutdown
- not powering on unless battery is reconnected
- unstable lid detect (Hall sensor behavior)

At first I suspected the Hall sensor and even replaced it, but the problem remained.

After further diagnostics, I measured FU6 (near the JIR1 connector):
- ~3.2V on one side
- ~1.8V on the other side
