Well the time came where I just dropped this one off at the shop. Thanks for all the help guys. I simply just couldn't devote the time to this like I wanted. Work and school consumed me and it fell to the wayside. Again thanks for all the help. and Hopefully I can try again later. I'll post what the shop tells me upon its return.Leave a comment:

Redid the major spots on the board. seemed to work....or so I thought. still having an issue with it wanting to not "click" when I unlug it directly, or shut the power strip off.Leave a comment:

The screen never goes blank really.. If its on, its on. It only has a problem when it warms up and you either unplug it or turn off the surge protector. In which case, it doesn't "click" when you plug it back in, it just sits. After a period of time to "cool" it will turn back on without issue.Leave a comment:

Ok. perfect. thats what I needed to know, So I'm at least in the right place and moving in the right direction. I tested a little bit more last night and found this....The tv only has issues when its unplugged and plugged back in, OR when the Surge protector is turned off. As long as the power isn't disurupted at the source in anyway, it seems to be o.k.Leave a comment:

So, I hit up a couple of the solder joints just to ensure. From the power lead starting at the corner of the main board where that power lead comes in. Still no luck. Once it heats up and gets shut off or unplugged, it stays off for a bit...I can turn it off and on with the remote while I'm testing it without issue..but once its unplugged, it has to cool.
Just to verify i'm on the right board. Its the biggest board in the center of my pics, correct?Leave a comment:

Ok, So once it cools, it comes back on, such as letting it sit over night. So for the beginner, where should I start, where the plug comes in at the power supply to the "main Board" in the center of the back? And as for solder point what should I be looking for? Found the hiccup. So I let it play a dvd for a little over an hour..I shut it off and shut down the surge protector. NOW, when I turn it all back on, No start up clicks. Same as before. dead.Leave a comment:

ALRIGHTY!!!!! And here we go. So, I plug it in and nothing. I have a red LED light up front. But it does nothing, I can hear a little "hmmm" like its running. However, no response to the power keys on the frame NOR on the remote. Here are some pics of the back. Alright, now lets do this.
