I have a Toshiba REGZA 52XV645U LCD TV with a dead power supply
(V28A000962A1) With the help of a link on this website I found the culprit. [url]https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=15787[/url] The fusible resistor R850 is open. My question is I found 2 resistors R827 and R828 showing thermal heat damage. What can cause these resistors to get so hot?

When I pressed on the mian board I was able to make a large persentage of the dots go away. I took the main board off and with a magnifying glass looked at most of the components (and there are many tiny ones) but I didn't see anything obvious and finding a cold solder joint on those is going to be virtually impossible. So I put it all back together and turn on the TV. The dots were 99% gone but then came back after a minute. I put pressure on this metal tab to flex the board and in doing so, it was not all the way in place (seems like some... -

I have a 52" Aquos LC60C52U LCD The problem is it has white Dots, like a snow storm on the screen? What can be causing this, and can it be repaired?

Well, bad news. It worked fine for about 10 hours then stopped working.
Same clicking noise. I checked the Y sustain board and 4 Mosfet's were shorted on the first heatsink and 1 on the second heatsink. What can be shorting these out?Leave a comment:

Well I was so excited it worked that I didn't notice a shadow at the bottom of the screen. I hope this is a simple fix. I'm realy happy that it's

I received the new MOSFET's today. I'm ready to solder them in but I have a question. There was a rubber gasket between 2 of the MOSFET's and the heatsink. Should I leave it out and apply heatsink compound, or reuse the gasket. There was no heatsink compound with gasket.

Check out my thread I have a similar problem. Make sure you pushing the source button on the remote to find the correct input you are supplying the TV with, such as cable. I was able to hear the TV when I pressed it a few times.Leave a comment:

Ist Mosfet reads OL any combination except when leads are reversed on pin 2 and 3m reading is 295k ohms.
2nd reads .7 ohms between 1&2,1&3, 02 ohms between 2&3.
3rd reads 72 ohms between 1&2,1&3, .3 ohms between 2&3
4th reads 136 ohms between 1&2,1&3 .2ohms between2&3
Board does not read .3 ohms between fuse and screwhole anymore.Leave a comment:
