That is how i discovered originally that the flash drive mounts over USB from the keyboard connector. IIRC, said keyboard is also powered from the pogo port. I'm trying to get that power to run a hub self contained on the back of my tablet case and powered from the tablet.
But to get the tablet to recognize anything on the connector, i have to use a 10K resistor on ground and pin 5.

Hacking the keyboard connector on my thinkpad X1 tablet Gen 3
I recently discovered that the dock connector on the Thinkpad X1 tablet Gen 3 uses USB for the keyboard on the POGO pins, I want to use that connector to add a USB 2.0 hub to my tablet case (lenovo medical case for the X1 tablet)
