  • Toshiba 46XF355D lines on screen

This tv powers up but only displays a flashing blue screen with multple pixel lines on all functions.

Not been able to open it up yet as it's a tv that I'm considering buying to try and fix (if it's not going to need a new screen)

There is another tv the same make for sale but with the following fault

LCD panel or invertor board(s) problem?

also a 3rd one with this fault

The pics for this one are the 3rd picture onwards...

  • Re: LCD panels in the UK

    Thanks
The panel number is LC470WUN-SAA1 which seems to be a Philips LG panel so shouldnt be "too hard" to get hold of

started a topic LCD panels in the UK

    LCD panels in the UK

Does anyone know anywhere (or the best/cheapest) place to buy an LCD panel?
I've got a Bauer DTK47 1080P LCD tv with a broken screen and its a shame to scrap it
    unless I can't find a replacement screen..

Not took it apart yet to find out exactly what the panel is, but I could do with some suppliers names please (if anyone knows any)

  • Re: Toshiba L40 weird touchpad problem

forgot to say tried that already
apart from putting a new blank drive in and installing a fresh copy of Windows, I also booted it from a Linux stick and it did the same thing.

    It's definitely hardware - unfortunately,

  • Re: New Members - please post your introductions here

Hi all, just found this forum after almost banging my head on a wall with a weird laptop problem that I hope can be fixed
I'm from Manchester in the UK, I used to be a mobile phone (cellphone) field engineer and also trained as a radio and tv engineer but retired now due to ill health
I like to build my own computers and just started out on laptops, got a Toshiba L40-14l and upgraded the cpu to a core 2 duo T7500, also put a new screen it, it was broken when I was give the laptop, felt good turning it on and it worked,...

  • Toshiba L40 weird touchpad problem

I have a Toshiba L40-14l which is basically just a member of he L40 family
I have this weird problem where the touchpad doesn't work properly
It appears that the right button is stuck down.

When I scroll across the screen using the touchpad its the same as using a mouse with the button held in.
The left button clicks and shows as being clicked in the touchpad icon by the clock
The right button shows as being held down.
I have checked and I have the latest touchpad drivers installed.

I've tried a usb mouse and this works perfectly, I'm guessing...
