• Re: blown caps on 9600 gso

I got my new caps yesterday and installed them. The card runs good now with no crashes. I ran a few different games and programs that usually would have caused the system to crash. Thank you again for your help

I checked everything that I could see without having to tear the system down. Now that I just have the one GPU running, the system runs fine with no crashes, besides the video isnt running as smooth without the extra memory that it was relying on from the other GPU. I might order my new case this week and when I move my components to the new case I will check everything thoroughly. My PSU is an Ultra LSP750 750-Watt which is SLI ready. I built this system December 2008 and it runs nearly everyday all day. When I get the new caps and install them I will...

As long as this solves my issues with the computer crashing then price isnt really an issue. I just didnt have the budget to buy a new card. Im currently doing research on a new case and a very good cooling system. Thats why I asked if the temperature inside the case made these burst. Thank you for your help and responding quickly.

Also would an overheated computer cause these caps to burst?

I actually live in northern Minnesota about 10 miles from Canada. There is a place called Digikey that is about 50 miles from my location that has alot of different electrical components. I searched my bad caps on there website and came up with no results. I was wondering if you had the specifications of the caps that are on this board. I have the voltage and I know is that they are radial cans for through hole mounting. I just need capacitance, the width in diameter, and the lead spacing. Then I should be...

Hello, I am currently having the same problem with the same GPU. I was wondering if there are any caps similar to these or am I sol. I see the 1000uf is still available but the others are no longer in stock. I would like to attempt to replace these also instead of straight up buying a new gpu. I have another 9600 gso currently in my desktop that was connected together with this card via sli. If you don't have these in stock would you happen to know a similar set of caps I could install instead?...
