I work in a second hand PC shop and we primarily get our stock from the government and businesses which means sometimes we get BIOS locked devices coming through, a colleague of mine found a way to remove the service tag off a Dell Optiplex 7080 and using that .bin put it on another 7080 which basically allows us to re-use this .bin on problematic 7080 models. My end goal is to have a catalog of .bin files in-case one fails a BIOS update or has some other BIOS problem.

Hi, I'm a ICT Technician and I've recently started learning more advanced repairs like LCD replacement and even more recently BIOS reprogramming and chip swapping. I'm excited to learn more and have fun soldering more crazy contraptions like pulling apart laptops and using desktop heatsinks and powering the fans with spliced USB cables.
