Acer X203H Bb part of the screen white with lines
This monitor mostly works, but the right side of the screen is painted in white with a few colored vertical lines. I have taken it apart, nothing visible, I have tried to put in and out the panel connectors, but it is always the same. What do you think?...

Re: HP L1906 fixing (pictures and steps)
Thank you, budm for your great pictures and wise words. My fix was a quick and dirty (and cheap, 0.39 €) one, my local e-shop did not let me choose the caps. But after reading the datasheets I see that tan delta for CapXon KF 10 V is about 0.19, and for the Daewoo RMU it is about 0.24, not as far a difference as it could be. Obviously, using low ESR Daewoo RUF you meet a tan delta of about 0.10, much better.
Perhaps a more critical factor is the leaking current, what seems to differ in greater proportion....

HP L1906 fixing (pictures and steps)
An old non working HP L1906 monitor was given to me two or three months ago, as crap to be dumped. I have searched the forum and I have found there are at least three versions of this same electronics and no reference to the steps to open the box.
So now I am writting this post to help others. Firstable I want to copy here the opening steps, as written in an hp forum by an angry user. In no way I am subscribing necessarily his(or her) expressions about hp, the monitor, etc , but I won't change a word because it is his/her work :
Mine had exactly 3 caps numbered...Last edited by diodine; 01-11-2015, 07:05 PM.

Re: Belinea 101711 (111750) Maxdata
If someone needs it, I leave the visual process of opening the monitor case. It is pretty straightforward anyway, but just in case.
Before starting to unscrew, you need to separate the pedestal, you simply put the screwdriver through a hole in the bottom and press, then slide the base. Then there is a cover that's put in place with little eyebrows and give access to the screws in picture #2.
When you have unscrewed all, you need to separate the bezel, there are about four eyebrows for each side. Better use a plastic...

¡Successs!
As you suggested I checked the MOSFET, but it seemed OK.
I went to the local electronics shop and asked for the parts. As usual, they didn't have the exact ones. So they sold me a 450 V cap, a 3A BIG diode and a box of quick glass fuses. I installed them with some reluctancy, having to enlarge the drills for the diode and so, but to my surprise, the thing started to work as soon as I switched on.
I leave some pictures of the task.
Thanks for your h...

Belinea 101711 (111750) Maxdata
Hi all!
This is one monitor that they have put in my hands for free, it comes from a clerk moving out from an old office and trashing old things.
First time I switched it on, green light fired on, but a few seconds later it went amber without showing a picture on screen. I tried to look with a torch but I couldn't see anything. Next time I tried, it wasn't even green on, and no more.
I opened box and looked at the circuits. The scaler seems to be ok but there are problems in the power/inverter/sound board.
The obvious one: the big cap...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hi!
I am from Spain and I came here first time 2009 trying to fix some mobo. It was a success and so long I keep coming in search for help, but lurking until now. I want to ask for help about some hardware, I expect it to be useful to other people.
