  • Re: edenpure USA 1000 infrared quartz heater

I just tested the Triac. I read 2.4M ohms across A1 and A2. When I shorted the Gate to A2 I read 65 ohms. COrrect me if I am wrotng, but that test should prove proper functionality of the Triac?

I also had continuity from the TL to the LTL jacks. I measured 0.2Ohms on those jacks.... That seems to be the heat sensor... should the resistance be so low?

Thanks for the replies, I will check out the triac tonight. I ordered the parts direct from edenpure, they were identical as the 3 kung-fued elements that I already replaced

  • edenpure USA 1000 infrared quartz heater

Hey Everyone, not sure where to post this question but here it goes.

I received a edenpure USA 1000 infrared quartz heater from my mother in law on the terms that "If I can fix it I can keep it." I took it apart and instantly went to the heating elements.. all 3 were bad, 2 of which were broken (glass tube). I ordered 3 new elements, installed them and the system ran like a champ for the past month. That is until this morning.

    Here are the new symptoms...

I powered it on the normal LED's illuminate and the fan kicked on as it normally does...

  • LC320SLX Power Issue

    Hey everyone,

I am electronics technician at a college in upstate ny. An Elec Tech club member, who is also part of the Student Government Association (SGA), has brought in a Slyvania LC320SLX tv that belongs to the SGA that does not power up. I suspect that it is the power supply but I want to show the students a good way to trouble shoot the issue to determine the problem. I was hoping to see some bloated caps, but I do not see any visually damaged caps.

The symptoms the TV has is when you push power, you get no lights or any screen activity. I read on this forum...
