Welp, I tried the RC unlocker tool already. That didnt work. I think the main issue is that both chips have 32MB dumps. RC unlocker can only read 16 MB files. Thought I would ask since I already tried methods that have been previously posted. Thanks.

Hey, I have a ThinkPad T15 Gen2. There is a BIOS password on the device. Can you unlock it?
There are 2 chips on the board and I have take a dump of both of them.
Both are GigaDevice chips
GigaDevice 25B256DYIG
GigaDevice 25R256DYIG
I have attatched the two dumps of each chip in Zip file.

Unfortunately, I still have the issue with num lock and caps lock blinking 7 times when pressing the power button. I checked voltages and the EC chip is getting 3.3 volts but not the SPI Rom chip. I appreciate the help with unlocking the BIOS.Leave a comment:

Okay, so that would be the GD25B256D? Next to that chip it says EC ROM. That one is right next to the RAM module. Sorry for the confusion, I am not sure the difference between EC ROM and SPI ROM, or which one contains the main BIOS.Leave a comment:

Hey everyone,
I have an HP Probook 450 G8. I currently don't have the original EC ROM backup. My model is DAX8QAMB8D0 REV. D. I am supposed to only flash the EC ROM GD25B256D chip or should I flash the SPI ROM MX25L25673G? Currently, when I press the power button, the caps lock and num lock light blink 7 times and the fan doesn't spin and the display is black. Any help is appreciatedLeave a comment:

Just joined in in hopes of fixing some BIOS issues. I recently fixed an MSI GS66 Stealth gaming laptop via flashing a new BIOS with the CH341a programmer. Now I am trying to fix other BIOS related issues. Currently, I am working on an HP Probook 450 G8. I noticed that this laptop has an SPI ROM chip and EC ROM chip.
