  • Re: Dell 22" monitor backlight goes out right away.

    I also had the same Problems with this monitor, For me the backlights turned off almost immediately after power-up. I tried the fix of removing the R821, and then they stayed on. I checked r821 in and out of circuit and it tested good, however after replacing it with a new, similar one, the screen has been running perfect since. It must have been going low ohms under load. just thought Id add that info for those who might think this resistor is good when it tests out fine with a multimeter.

    Thanks for the replies. I was able to find that schematic online that you are talking about, however as you say, there was nothing about the inverter section, Just for the main board. I have enough information to order a replacement mosfet, however the Zener Diodes that are missing really trouble me.I took out a similar diode on the board to use for testingand have tried to find the breakdown voltage , going up to 55vdc already and still no luck, Im surprised the voltage is that high there, unless it is being...

    I am looking for that schematic too, I havent been able to find it either, but you really helped me out with the part numbers you have on here, someone removed them from the board im trying to fix and now I dont know what the original part # was. If you have any other pointers from the repairs you made, any help would be appreciated, Thanks!!

    Hi, Im new to the community, I have been trying to fix my fried dac-19m008 Power supply board for my monitor, and I have seen some very knowledgeable information that I could use on this forum. Thanks everybody for sharing the info you have gathered for everyone to use. Im excited to see if I can get my monitor going once again.
