Re: Sony 40EX400 HDMI Input Problem
Thanks for your reply ecking676. The manual says " Turn on the TV. While holding down V on the remote control, press POWER on the TV. (The TV will turn itself off, then back on again.) Release V"
But I tried that & nothing happens?
When I press Display, 5, V I get the following menu but I don't see the factory setting option??...

Re: Sony 40EX400 HDMI Input Problem
On my other TV it show up as 1080p so I have to assume it a 1080 signal. Also, I did update to the latest firmware. I also unplug the TV & plug in the HDMI into 2,3 & 4 and none of them work. I plug in the VGA cable from my computer and it don't work either!
Am wondering if the main board is defective or if its a software problem?

Sony 40EX400 HDMI Input Problem
Only my TV & HDMI 1 (DVD/BD) Input connector work. But when I plug my HD TV box into HDMI 1 (DVD/BD) it ony show up as 720 not 1080?
If I access the menu only these two choose are highlighted. (as seen in the pic)
Would anyone know if this is a hardware or a software problem?...

Toshiba 55SL417U Image Problems
I have Toshiba 55SL417U Led TV. Out of nowhere my screen became a distorted greenish image as you see in the attach pics. Could you please inform me as which IC board would cause that problem?...

Re: How to bypass an auto shut off?
I also believe that a bypass from HI to L and the Dimmer Switch might very well work! The specs on the blanket says 60 watts. Again thanks for your help.

Re: How to bypass an auto shut off?
If I keep the ON/OFF switch ON by holding it there with an elastic it will default to the low setting after the one hour auto shut off kicks in!
There are three settings low, medium & high. Every time you press the ON/OFF switch it bring you to the higher setting but if you hold the button while on the high setting it will default to the low setting after an hour.
My question is how can I bypass the low & medium and go directly to the high setting from the IC board?Last edited by c_hegge; 02-16-2014, 10:10 PM.

Re: How to bypass an auto shut off?
Thanks budm for your reply. I assume your talking about Triac Z0405MF? There are two of them. I attach two pics, one from the back of the ic board & the other one the front.
Could please you explain which one needs to be bypass & how I should do it?
Circuit boards are not my specialty! Sorry about that! But I do want to learn....
Last edited by Regent; 02-15-2014, 11:14 PM. Reason: The back of the ic board the triac are circle with a black marker.
