    I actually haven't gotten any further than this yet. I have been looking into repair kits & common problems with this model. The kits are only cap replacements and I can't find anyone online mentioning an issue like this.

    I am currently at work but will take some more pictures soon. I haven't noticed any bad/loose soldering or anything that looks abnormal. I'm not really sure what to do at this point. It's still broken apart on a coffee table so I will continue working on it in my spare time.

    Any other recommendations...

    It actually doesn't do anything when you first plug it in. After about 1 hour of sitting with the power plugged in, it will start flashing like that.

    I opened the back and the caps seem to be okay, I don't see any puffing of anything. Here are some pictures:
