Did you ever make progress on this? I'm interested because I have a very similar problem on a thinkbook. Works, but won't charge. 3.3v on sda and sdl, but 0 on PWR_CHG_IBAT
It detects battery info, but incorrectly ie. 0% capacity after charging to 80% in different machine.

Is there any reason this GD25R256EYIG wouldn't be compatible with original MX77L25650FZ4I42?
Does PLC501 getting so hot mean it's probably a faulty vram chip?Is there any reason this GD25R256EYIG wouldn't be compatible with original MX77L25650FZ4I42?

Not completely sure what's going on. I had issues with new chips also. tried new adapter. Then i found a chip that the programmer ids correctly and it finally programmed successfully. Maybe I need to create a custom chip instead of using a similar id?
Anyhow, laptop behaved the same with the new file on a different chip. A GD25B256EY

Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Extreme Gen 4 Wistron 213015-1
This laptop had a hard fall I was told. I'm not able to read the serial number.
I would get 3 white lights at the power button when plugged in and then off, but still an orange charge light(most of the time).
PLC501 gets hot, into the 60s C. It has 1.24v PRC307 is the next hot thing around 40c and PUC301 get's a bit warmer than the other 4 PUs next to it
PLC301 has resistance to ground of .55ohms but i'm not experienced enough to know if this is normal for such gpus? Voltage on these coils is .75v
Otherwise i wasn't able to find anything else getting warm even when injecting...

I was trying with battery and plug. At one point after holding the power button for a while, when i let go the leds on the button board went on and stayed on. Still no picture.
In that state i checked and there was 1v VCCSA on pl9001, but still no vcc on pl9000, pl8902, pl8903. pl8701 was almost nothing, vcc_pe from the ec was still nothing.
I couldn't get this to repeat.

These are the spill area with a usb microscope as i don't have lenses on the optical to show large areas. Some of those fets have water marks, but i'm not sure how to test them properly. @mcplslg123These are the spill area with a usb microscope as i don't have lenses on the optical to show large areas.
