Ok, thanks to all. Sound works. It helps to have the manual. Without it, I figured that when I have HDMI in, I would choose the HDMI for the Sound-out. Not the case, I had to choose HD15 from the menu and then low and behold perrfect sound. Thanks again to everyone.
CHEERS!!
Ok, this pic is from the original posted at the beginning of this ordeal. The arrows show the cable going from the speaker connetions to the main board. This pic shows the cables not connected, but everything was put back for the final test. I will double check the connections and post close-up of the connection at the main board. Can I put a meter on the speaker connections and see if I'm getting anything?? Or is there somewhere else that I could test?
Thanks ...
Ok, Tom66, I think you found it. I did all that is mentioned above except that last part (Common Audio Sel). I had the HDMI from the PS3 hooked up to HDMI1 and selected that from the menu for the sound out -and figured that the sound thru the HDMI would go thru the system and be played on the speakers. So, I will select the HD15 and see if that works. I may have tried it I can't remember. Thanks fo rthe manual link. ...and will check power connections again. Thanks!
Ok! Received the fuses. Soldering that little thing was fun. Finally got it, SUCCESS! Video works. Unfortunatley not getting any audio. I hooked 5 different speakers to it just to make sure and not getting anything. Any ideas? Thanks for everyones help so far....
Is this the little bugger that I need?

The letter on the top of the fuse is "P". So lets say I don't want to chance jumping it with a blob of solder, where can I get another fuse? Or, again, should I just replace the board? Are we certain that it's the fuse, can't be something else? (so I don't waste $$ on a T-con board?).
Ok, the fuse shows nothing on the ohm meter. (standard 1 like you said...basically no change when i touch each side) the two diodes test at 195 one way and infinite the other way. So the fuse is blown? Can I jump it and test...somehow?? Or just replace the board?
Ok, here are some pics after pulling the metal off to get to the t-con board. The first is of the T-con board front then the next three are of the power board, I was looking for the legend that tom66 wanted, but after removing it and flipping it over, I don't see any other lables or legends, no writing of any kind actually. BUT, did notice that two solder leads looks like they were burned or discolored in some way. close up of the back in the third pic and then flipping it over I see this little green little guy standing in the center of the...
Ok, sounds good. Will check for it. I know what a normal fuse would look like when it fails, but will this have any indication that it's bad? WIll I have to test it with the meter?
Ok, posted before reading the two previous..thanks, will check. Once I get to it, where would the fuse be and what does it look like. I take it that it must be pretty small.
Ok, I hooked up a speaker and powered it up -plugged in an hdmi cable from the PS3 and went thru the inputs (I think, again, no way to tell when there is no display or anything for me to tell...) so I would say at this point, no video and no sound. If I knew where the T-con board was, I could check the fuse...if I knew where the fuse was ON the t-con board. There was a fuse on the power board, and I checked that for continuity and it shows o.2 on the ohm meter.
Thanks again for everyone's help!!
Rayrod, ok - see previous post, not sure where the t-con is. I only see the two boards. Power and video. Where would it be, is it the one under the metal, on the left side as you're looking at the back????
Looking at this model specs again, this actually is listed as a monitor, not a TV. It might not even have speakers. This may be a mute point. I suppose I could hook it up to HDMI and run everything thru that, and my reciever would handle the sound, but now if it doesn't have speakers then maybe it is the T-con board.???? well, first thing first. we'll keep trouble shooting and see if we can get it working, but not having any sound might be just that it doesn't have speakers. All I was doing was hooking up HDMI.
AH, ok, I'll do that when I get home from work.
Now, just asking, I see many threads where the t-con board has failed, I only see the two boards on this TV, and from researching the model #s off the boards, one is the power supply and one is the digital video board (main board or A board as I see they are called), ...is there a t-con board and could that be the issue? And how can I test if the juice coming out of the power board is correct? I have a digital meter. (although I'm not too great at understanding electrical readings)....
We disconnected and reconnected all connections to the boards, and confirmed the backlight comes on along with the green power indicator light. Tested with HDMI from a PS3 and no video and no sound....... Anybody?
