  • Re: Neon 32" LCD C3298F No Video

    Heh, cheers for that!

I figured the hardware isn't great (It certainly wouldn't have been my first choice either), but as its free, i cant complain too much!

Is there any steps i can take to ascertain if it is the mainboard that is the problem?

Right, have been home, and got some better photos for you.

Obviously in the overview picture there are a few cables hooked back out of the way - and the T-con card is not present - have unplugged the cables to get them out of the way.

I hope someone can shed some more light onto this...

Yes, have tested it, and although the multimeter i have here at work is very difficult to use, it does appear to be less than 1Ohm resistance.

I have attached a picture of the T-con - i will do better pictures of the other boards when i get home and dig out my camera - my phone is too difficult to focus!

    Hi Guys,

I've just been given a broken Neon C3298F 32" LCD tv by the grandparents, as we are moving into a new house on Friday, and don't have a TV.

I understand its a Samsung LCD panel, then everything else is cheap chinese, rebranded by one of our UK supermarkets, so i'm not expecting wonders from it, but if i can get it working, it'd save me a couple of hundred quid on a new one.

    The symptoms are:

It powers on, and the power LED flashes red 4 or 5 times, then goes solid.
The screen lights up (Still black, but...
