Acer Aspire 5551 la-5912p not powering on
Hi guys, I have an issue with a laptop, it has power but wont power on.
I have all S5 power rails present and have check many other voltages, all seem ok.
I don't know what next to check, suspecting a southbridge issue maybe.
Can anyone give me any tips for this one.
Thank you

Small update, q7260 has burnt out when I plugged in the battery so either something on the battery circuit has caused it or this was faulty or maybe even u7201 I don’t know. Have to call this done for now.

Macbook 820-3330 no power or charging
Hi guys, how are you all?
I have a MacBook 820-3330 with no power and need a little help please.
I have the original charger that supplies 16v but doesn't light up at all. I also have a USB C charger and converter that does light up and provides 19v.
Both give me a 12v on board and i have 3.3v.
I have 5 volt but its at 4.7v.
I have 1 voltage that isnt present but dont know if this comes after power on, this is q7220 pins 6,7,8 0v, doesnt seem to have any switching voltages going in from u7201.
I will give you some readings that I have and we can go from there....

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hi I'm from the uk, i have always had an interest in taking things apart to see how they work. I have a small computer repair company and work as a courier for extra money.
I have a massive interest in learning more electronic repair and spend as much time as I can watching repair videos to gain knowledge.
Repairs with schematics are much easier but would like to learn more without the use of them. I think places like this will help.
I just want to get stuck in and fix stuff!!
I also do...
