Samsung SMT-190DN
I have Monitor Samsung SMT-190DN. BNC cable connects to Camera does`nt work. Screen appears blue. (VGA connects to Computer works). DVR/LCD led is red when power on. I press DVR/LCD button, DVR/LCD led becomes blue then I can access Menu but blue led disappears in about 20 seconds. can`t access to menu when DVR/LCD is red.... -

My friend gave this TV to me, he told me his friend tried to fix it but not success about two months then he brought it back and gave it me. He told me no power. I plugged it in power ac outlet, pressed power button it shut down in about 2 seconds. I suspected power supply board then I took the back cover off and unscrews power board and checked bottom of the board in case there are cold pins. I acknowledged that some body already tried to fix the TV and left three whole and a piece of insulator next to another transistor marked SD20N60. I`m looking for...Leave a comment:

TV shut down in 1/2 second when power on. I, checked caps and fuses, found two 4A fuses were blown. One on Y-MB and the other one on X-MB. I changed both of them and power on TV again, power stayed, fuses no blown but no picture. I did`nt check sound. I measured output voltages from power supply to Y-MB and X-MB were ok... I pulled ICs, found one was blonw. I have Y-board (6871QYH053B and X-board (6871QZH056B from Toshiba 42in. Y-board, large IC under black heatsink was bad. I ordered 2 large ICs STK795-821 and 2 fuses to replace both of them . One for Y-board and another one for X-board. I think yours has a problem like mine.Leave a comment:

From the looks of the solder, I'd it lead-free solder correct?
I apply some RadioShack rosin soldering flux non-spill paste. Apply some 60/40 solder to each joint, so the two solders mix and will be easier to remove.
I use either a RadioShack desoldering iron or desoldering braid.
If the heatsink can't be removed you'll have to heat it up with a hairdryer or heat gun.
