I want to clarify something, the main cause for the faliure of thesse ICs is poor flash protection and overheating, the solution is replacing thesse ICs, and after that BIOS of the motherboard should be reflashed if you use new part not the donor one from the same or simillar motherboard. That should be permanent solution, and adding nonconductive thermal pad over it, and some aluminum tape on the opposite side on the laptop case, so that it could release the exess of heat....

Yepp, charge the battery externaly, if you don't have appropriate external charger, use voltage and amperage as adviced on battery, ussualy in lenovo and asus batteries you activate BMS of battery by shorting plus and minus for milisec, and it starts to charge, done it myself doesn of times, works.
And for the Realtek IC, after you charge battery REFLASH a new BIOS to the motherboard, it should also reprogram the IC power controler....
