Re: lenovo thinkpad P50
Several questions...
1) Which chip is the correct BIOS chip, U5 topside, or U15 bottomside?
2) What is EC?
3) Where do I flash EC?
Thanks in advance.

Re: LENOVO BIOS AUTO-PATCHER for Supervisor Password Removal
NOTE: This worked on a T570, with a gen 7 i5, with a MX25L12873F chip. It did NOT work on a T480, with a gen 7 i5, 25Q128JV chip. With the t480, the patch doesn't run, the screen blips and that's it. No patch file generated. Flawless on the T570 however.
I deleted all patch software, re-downloaded from page 1, started everything over. Worked flawless on a T480 and a T580, both with the 25Q128JV chip. Many thanks for generating this tool.Re: LENOVO BIOS AUTO-PATCHER for Supervisor Password

Re: LENOVO BIOS AUTO-PATCHER for Supervisor Password Removal
My friend showed me how to drag and drop and it ran. When I showed him these instructions, he was as dumbfounded as I was. Easiest way to do this is drag your bios dump to the patch>autopatch and it will create your new "bios." Then follow the rest of the instructions.

Re: Dell Latitude 5500 Bios password
Works AMAZING. Thank you. I do have a question. Will it work on a Latitude 5400 as well, or do I need to upload the bios for it?...

Re: Dell Latitude 5500 Bios password
As requested/promised, here is the dump I need cleaned. Also, could someone please walk me through the cleaning process? My co-worker has stated something about a "ME" region needing to be saved. I have downloaded UEFI tool, but am unclear as to how to use it. Thanks again in advance.Last edited by SMDFlea; 03-31-2023, 02:50 PM.

Re: Dell Latitude 5500 Bios password
Please forgive me for hijacking this thread, but I believe it is related. Where is the bios chip located on an EDC50 LA-G902P motherboard (it is from a dell latitude 5500)? I am guessing it is UC5 on the topside of the board (GD25B256DYIG), however, everything I'm reading indicates the bios is a 32Mb chip. This is a 256Mb chip. Thanks in advance.

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hi. My name is Dan. I studied electronics back in the 90's and used to build desktops for my school. I have been away from the game for some time, and looking to get back into it. I am an industrial maintenance tech, so I have some knowledge with mechanical and electrical things. That being said, I acquired several "locked" dell laptops and am struggling to get them unlocked.
