The phone will probably look for an IP address via DHCP (unless you set a static address) and may just be failing to get an address from the server.

You could try using wireshark or tcpdump to see if anything is been sent on the wire when the phone starts.

Has anyone got a schematic for an Advent K200 laptop. Motherboard is 37gl50200-10-rev.01.

I need to locate the BIOS chip on this board.

The laptop seems to work, apart from it has a BIOS corruption (CRC error on POST). The Phoenix BIOS then asks for a password (which should not be set, probably due to the eruption?) and the "hash code" password generator doesn't work. I have removed the CMOS battery, but I can not get it to reset, so I think I need to dump the bios and have a look at it or re-flash it, but I cannot locate the bios...
