  • Re: Dump bios file for toshiba L350-156

Apparently this may be because of a bad NEC tokin chip that should be replaced with 4 capacitors. If you're interested in that repair I'm considering taking a stab into component level repair. I believe the link I'll post will have the correct capacitors but I could be wrong.

I've emailed the company but I wanna get this fixed fast so I'd love a BIOS update as I think that might be the bottleneck in getting this laptop to boot into any os properly. I believe the mb revision is 3.5 but I'm not actually completely sure what that means so take that with a grain of salt I guess.

  • Re: New Members - please post your introductions here

Right now I'm trying to repair a Gateway Solo 1450 and a Toshiba C350 laptop and I first found about about this site while trying to find out how to update the BIOS on the C350. I'm not really that technical, though I hope to be, I have a PC with an RTX 2060 and a Ryzen 7 3700X but my brother did most of the work. I have taken apart the Gateway a lot and the Toshiba is certainly more of a software project as there's what I think is a corrupted version of Windows Vista on it and as I said I'm hoping that updatiing the BIOS and...
