U102 has part number A1 AS1117L-18 B0548. Pin 2 is reading 1.78 V.
U101 has part number A1 AS1117L-33 B0551. Pin 2 is reading 1.27 V.
Thanks for the info. After re-reading [URL="https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=11058"]Bw1's[/URL] post I realize now I have an identical issue. I wish the op of that thread had posted whether or not a new U101(1117L-33) had solved his problem or not. I'm going off now looking for this part in my junk boxes.
If I have no experience soldering where should...

1706b No power, no led light
One of my Acer AL1706b monitors finally died recently. After doing some research here and elsewhere on the internet I'm not sure how to proceed from here.
After checking the T2A/250VAC fuse I moved onto the 82uF 450V capacitor (170V). Then the wires heading from the power board (ILPI-003 REV:C - 2006.06.19) to the logic board.
From bottom to top the wires are:
[SIZE="1"]1.VCC5V - 5V
2.VCC5V - 5V
3.GND - 0V
4.BRIGHTNESS - 0V
5.ON/OFF - 0V
6.GND - 0V[/SIZE]
Assuming that's what they should be I moved...
