Alright, let me conclude this saga
I received new backlight units (LED strip on aluminium reflector), assembled everything together and it worked! There was "new" SW on chips that Lotas sent me, and there were no issues. Even the language stayed the same (Slovenian). Only detail I saw is that under menu was stated "please find the serial number on a back cover". Which was somehow logical - there was no data about serial number and model in this SW - apparently erased/blank, comparing to original one.
So I flashed both chips back to their original SW. All...
Thank you for the files.
It appears to be working now - also I connected laptop on HDMI port and there is the picture visible But red LED still flashes 5x when turn on. Maybe this is even the normal behaviour (?!)
Anyway, the backlight is dead and I just ordered new LED backlight unit (glued on aluminium heatsink/highly polished reflector). I will see when I change it - then maybe even flash it back to original.
Anyone got an idea for this UE40k5102akxxh? From the uploaded memory chips?
Only potentional thing I found is here:

Samsung UE40K1502AKXXH - flashing LED, no life but still responsive
So, I got this UE40K1502AK(XXH) TV from a friend.
TV has no picture or sound, but it reacts on remote control and power button on bottom side.
- When plugged into mains, the LED is red on. If I use remote to power it on for the first time, it flashes 6x then LED remains off. I assume this would be the same as by normal tv?
- LED also flashes fast when I push any button on remote controller. If I turn it off with remote, the LED will lit solid red. And by next turn-on with remote, it flashes 5x. Also will flash fast when any remote button is pressed.
- The background...
I also went in menu to see the current SW-versions, and for the reference, they are:
- model code: UE55MU6272
- serial number: 0AGD3SCJA01397R
- SW-version: T-KTMDEUC-1400.3 , BT - S (interestingly, this version is from December 2023, but I repaired this TV and maybe update it manually on February 2023, so I guess it updated itself automatically sometime)
- Sub-micom version: T-KTMINTV-1011
- version of e-Manual: KTMDVBEUL-3.1.3
And I will warmly recommend the owner to sell this TV and think about other...
I think I updated TV the last time I was repairing it, but I'm not 100%.
My programmer (TL866-II-Plus) has both options of saving - bin and hex. I think I left it on default - that is hex. Do you need Bin too?
Hello,
It's me again ๐ It is the same TV again, with the same problem... I already fixed this 14 months ago (see page 3) and it worked until now.
The failure came back - no red light.
So, I tried and reflashed IC1604 again with the same SW as Mr. Lotas provided me back then. Unfortunately, it did not worked, but at least the red LED comes on and blinks each time when joystick button on the backside is switched to any position... ๐คจ
I have read back the chip again, and saw that there is a difference again. So, lets see if you can help me again?
I own a similiar model: UE55MU6272U, (curved glass) with the same infamous failure: no standby light, and backlight only when mainboard is disconnected.
I readout IC801, IC1603 and IC1604, please find them in attachment. If they can be saved, I would be grateful.
