Sign me up as having the same monitor with the same outcome.
Haven't dug into the power flow no the controller board as that's a little outside my wheelhouse and comfort zone, but BigClive.com has me thinking hard about it.

Good morning! Wive had a screen that died after 1+ year and I kept the parts to see if I could perform a component swap and make some kind of magic mirror...I've had success with component swapping with PCs and cars in the past but wasn't ready for the integration with screens and their middleware. Google finally showed a post here, so I joined.
