  • Re: TH-42PD60U: PA or H Board

On the 60u it is the smaller board to the left of the P board with a ribbon cable going down behind the tuner board. Look at the connector names...they will start with PAxxxx. Also there are two different 10x blink codes. One that starts as soon as you plug in AC power and one that starts after you push the power button. good luck.
I found a bad P board and will replace the bad transistor and resistor...whole board is almost $100.

    Thanks Randtek,
Before I noticed the LED blinking I used the No Power flow chart that led me to replace the DG board but that wasn't it. This doc is better...I will use the blinking 10x BEFORE pressing the power button diag on page 25 tonight and see where it leads.

  • TH-42PD60U: PA or H Board

    Hello,
I have a Panasonic TH-42PD60U that blew both F401 hot fuse and F402 neutral fuse. I replaced both fuses and I am now in standby mode with an LED blinking code 10. Service manual gives this code a PA-SOS/Tuner SOS error that relate to test points at the PA-Board and/or H-Board.

My question is what are the tests that I need to perform to determine which of these two boards I need to replace. Thanks in advance.
