ok..but where can i get the information that will:
a) indicate where in the bios the information is stored (i dont have the original bios dump).
b) get the program that will clean the ME region?

For lack of where else to ask this...
i replaced the bios chip on my mothers' HP probook 450 G4.
The laptop boots into win10 no problem & nothing appears amiss.
However, it takes a while 15s for the HP logo to appear on bootup & i notice that the caps key LED blinks 5 times.
i also noticed in the bios screen that the serial number & product ID are different (not 0xFFs or blank but actual values) to the values on the laptop case.
My questions are:
1. Will the fact that the serial# & product ID are not the original cause the slow...

Hi, the name is moose from a small village on the north island of new zealand.
i've watched this site for a few years but finally joined.
whilst i develop firmware & a bit of electronics i really enjoy fixing devices at board level that have failed..
