Re: Help needed w/ Agilent/HP scope

I just found the service manual for the sampling head (54121A) online -- all 400 pages of it -- so that's probably a good place to start.

I recently acquired an Agilent/HP 54120A for a song at a local college's radio club equipment sale.

I later found a 54121A sampling head on Ebay and a cable for connecting the two.

The "mainframe" (seems like a strange name) 54120A boots and sees that the 54121A is connected but finds that only one of the four channels is calibrated.

Is the calibration of the sampling head something that someone with strong electronics skills can take on or do I need to send it out to be repaired?

Also, the probes for the sampling head are insanely...
