Re: LG 42LC7D-UB power problem.
Was this a mainboard issue, someone on another forum was saying these tvs are prone to overheating and added fans to resolve the issue. I have a tv like this my friend wants me to troubleshoot, doing the same thing. I dont have it in hand yet, but just doing a bit of research real quick to see what others are dealing with in this model.

Re: No Power Dell U2410 Monitor
I'm have the same issues here, so it seems it may be the voltage regulators? I had the same issue were it wouldn't power on, remove ac power press power button, and then ac power attached and press button on. But finally as i predicted that method stopped working for me. I checked out the power supply board, looks ok mostly. No exploded/leaking caps, which is what i was hoping for.

Re: Hanns-G HG281D, LCD Monitor no power
Jameco didn't have some of the right capacitors for this repair, so i used digikey, except for two which i missed when ordering. I got those from Jameco, their capcacitors were rated 2000hrs higher than panisonic, they seem very decent and I have used them on over 50 motherboards and they have been installed and working 2+ years, after all its a Hanns-G monitor, you can't rebuild it into a SamSung or Viewsonic, lol......

Re: Hanns-G HG281D, LCD Monitor no power
I re-caped the psu board, except for the big one. Seems to have solved the issue as far as I can tell, I told the customer that if he experiences problems again, we'll redo the logic board.

Re: Hanns-G HG281D, LCD Monitor no power
I have the tall tail signs of this problem started to happen on a customers monitor model HG281D. The monitor will power on and work fine, but after it is on standby power mode, or turn off with ac wall power going into for several hours, the darn thing wont power on. It was start powering on, and the Blue led in the front corner will come on and then go off, then the monitor goes out, and pressing the power button several times does nothing. It is not until unplugging the power cord and trying to turn it on again will it power back on normal....
