  • Oh ...
Really no solution at all ? Any hopes of a solution coming?

I know that shorting the contacts doesn't work on the mec1723..
But isn't there some way to clear only the PW from the dump? Or possibly enter a factory mode (as with dell 12th gen) with some Hex Magic
Could I try to flash a clear default bios, or is that doomed to fail ?

    Thanks...

  • Hello, I also have the Thinkpad X1 Yoga Gen 7 (Serial Number: PF-41RS91, Type Number: 21CE-S1521A ,Factory ID: JVHFC1) The Serial Number and Type Number are both on the casing as well as on the Mainboard. There is no other board model Number that i could find.

Hi guys (and possibly gals), noob here.
I have this 32MB bin file from a Dell 7410 XMC and need help to remove the Bios Setup Admin Password.
I have already tried modifying the dump with the method that @volinakis suggested but the Password check remains. (Changed 1 Byte at 3 offsets to 00)
Did this Fail because i have another Firmware Version (1.17.0) instead of 1.4.1 which i used as example ?
Any hints or an unlocked dump would be much appreciated.
    Thank You!...
