Re: C377 Blown Up GTX 690
Well out of curiosity I connected it to another PC I have, since my main one has Windows 11 and legacy GPUs aren't supported and... It just works 2/2 GPUs detected video signal is ok drivers installed, all good, no problems for now, my questions now are:
Should I replace anyway the capacitor? And Was it acting as a "security" meassure?
Thanks again

Re: C377 Blown Up GTX 690
I see, thanks, case is it was working fine until I powered it up in the morning yesterday, friend told me it wasn't showing as online, so when I arrived it turned off itself and wasnt turning on, so I reseated the psu cables without touching the gpu, put the psu on the 1 position and when I pressed the case's power button it turned on but the component in question blown up, after that the PCI-E slot of the motherboard doesn't work anymore so that's why I guessed it's a mobo issue sinve it showed weird behaviour before (the m.2 slot was acting weird and...

Re: C377 Blown Up GTX 690
Thanks a lot, will meassure and look for the capacitor tomorrow, have any idea of what could have caused it to blow up by any chance? Cause if it's motherboard related I'll just throw away the board, if not, the PSU used was a brand new MSI MAG A550BN (was a server so the gpu is on idle constantely) to start the return, thanks again

C377 Blown Up GTX 690
Hello everyone
Yesterday I saw the component C377 of my GTX 690 blow up, to be honest, I have no idea what caused it but I suspect on the motherboard, since it started doing some weird stuff to other components but nothing destructive, another system I have POSTs with the gpu installed and the corea still get warm as well as the vrm but it seems as I can't get video output. I witnessed the component getting blown up, so I know for a fact it's that one, so I'd like to know some things:
1.- If there is a posibility that the GPU is still fine itself and just got a single component...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hello everyone
I just registered seeking some help from this great community, encountered the forum on some old post on another forum and this place seems cool and with lots of knowledge. I love PC parts and would love to know more about them!
