Re: Help Beeping machine
I tried the method of putting it on the bench and didn't really find anything. But i got looking and found a trace that looks like it was melted and possibly destroyed during the soldering process. I dont know if this is it,but probably is, just thought i would offer this as a suggestion to the problem.

Re: Help Beeping machine
I am trying to test your first question, This is the point I am at, It worked before the re-cap i believe but it had bad video and the agp slot did not work to add a new video card because the caps took the functions of it out. No i haven't tried it out of the case, what is it i can do out of the case or where can i put it to test it that is safe and will not harm the board?
Thanks

Re: Help Beeping machine
Will the manual tell me exactly where to plug the fan into? Or do i just have to guess, because on the board there is a connector right directly behind the CPU so i figured this would correspond to run the fan, it seems to me that this is some kind of memory beep, but i have swaped the memory out, so I dont know what is going on. I will try your suggestion and see if i can find out if i connected the fan right or not.

Re: what type of solder should i use ??? and soldering iron
We bought a Hakko soldering iron and i was told that it isn't very good, weller is better. we completed our first motherboard this past weekend it look nice, but the soldering iron was hard to get the job done with! Hopefully in the future i can use a weller soldering iron.

Help Beeping machine
Hi all,
I just recently re-capped a motherboard and now im trying to put it back into a system. I get it all put together and everything and cannot get it to shut up(stop beeping) It just sits there in continual BEEP........BEEP........BEEP.. I need some help on what i should try, I have switched processors, switched memory sticks, unplugged the hard drive, is there something disconnect or what's the problem? I get power and everything it seems like normal except for this annoying little BEEP.
Thanks
