  • Sure I did as first step.
No point to argue about that, they state their side: 100% working and verified chip was sent out.
Despite all the evidence and my assumption there was no point to force furher any discussion.
(remote support offered for 40€ /0.5hr)
Maybe I contact them again to inform about my conclusion. I doubt this worth any further effors from any sides. Bad luck...

  • Bring up the thread just to give it a resolution.
My assuption was right: the EC chip which was ordered from Electorincloop has missing or wrong firmware.
I ended up to get a donor laptop and desoldered the SuperIO from there. (did not want to get EC programmer for thousands of $)
Bingo, after 30mins I got my laptop up and running again.

(the situation was really silly since ElectronicLoop has good feedback, their products are pre-tested (they promised) still I was unable to move forward or re-order again. I did not want to blame them but I was totally stuck)

  • Hi,

    EC_ON_5V - 800Kohm
    PU601 13# - 5V present (+5VLP or +5_LDO)
    PL601 - 13.6Kohm

(As mentioned, if I manually pull EC_ON_5V high, then I get +5VALW)...

  • Lenovo Y530 EC chip problem verification

    Dear Community,

I would need help for the following case:
    Lenovo Legion Y530-15ICH - 81FV
    BOARD#: EY515/EY517/EY519/EY520 NM-B701 REV: 1.0 2018-03-21

Problem: device went off during office work. (no hard game playings before). No LEDs, no charging, nothing. Analisys showed the IT8226 SIO 3.3v is shorted, therefore I oredered a pre-programmed one from a reputative seller electronicloop.
After replacement 3.3v got available but I still have no LEDs, no charging circuit voltage...nothing.
The EC soldering verified dozen of times -no moving or shorted...
