  • Re: AG Neovo E-17DA

    Thank you for replying,
yes, it's exactly what i was wondering for.
Caps are ok, replaced them in the first repair attempt.
So, what we are looking for it's simply a clean 12v power supply?
Since we are removing the 4 transformers, also the 4 mosfets have no reason to be there, right?
I mean, powering the new board directly with 12V +On/Off pin sense, would put lamps on,losing the ADJ pin functionality? Thanks for helping ...

Hi guys, sorry for resuming up this old thread
I repaired this monitor about 2 years ago following this thread, replaced caps and placed 1xIRF5305 in place of a blown mosfet. It worked well for a long time but now i have blown F1 and about 15V coming from U4 source pin, even with F1 removed. I decided to put in an universal inverter board, found tons of them on ebay for just few euros. Looking to Sabre504 post, i have to cut off some of the old electronic to make room for the new inverter board.
    Look this ebay item :221205651995
    It has...

    Hi there tsakimak!
    Thank you for your reply.
I managed to solve this problem by replacing the same resistor, and putting a new heating element. My station went to a local authorized repair center in Italy, and mine was marked Wiltec too. The only issue i found is that now the thermocouple detects temperature with a little delay (about 2-3 seconds),but it's ok because it can be the new thermocouple detecting temperature values a bit differently. By the way,i had another issue before repair on the front panel, numbers was appearing wrong and...

Thank for replying Tom,i checked it and it's correct.
I opened the station and find that temperature control signal goes thru
a DAC,and regulated by a bt137e triac. I'm thinking about a possible failure by the triac. Am i wrong? I'll check it and let you know

Yes i wrote a line to them yesterday, no response at the moment. I'm going to open the base station for a visual check, without schematics it's really hard to guess the culprit.

  • Aoyue 2702a+ issue

    Hi guys,

today i switched on my 2702 for a rework job,
but i noticed heating element not heating up at all.
I changed it instantly whit the spare one included in the box,
believing in a fried one. Switched on again, ok seems to heat up...but
station says 100°C, and measuring with a k thermocouple i can trust, i have 230°C!
Ok, tried to polish heating element connection, ground ok (i read about someone having weird behaviour due to false ground connection), tried again, no luck.
After a while, throwed in the old heating element, it works...

  • DV5000, Charge ok, no power on

    Hi guys,
i'm trying to bring back to life this notebook.
    Motherboard is quanta qt8

I have standby power, battery charging ok, but when pressing power button only a fast single led flash, then completely dead, no fan at all. After checking the entire mobo, i found PC45 to be very hot, i replaced (it's a 1U/10v), still hot.
    It's on pin 47 of ISL6265HRTZ-T (VCC).

Thinking about a bad cpu, but i don't have a spare one.

    Any ideas to find culprit?

  • Re: New Members - please post your introductions here

    Hi all people!

    I'm a new forum user
I'm a technician and i'm involving in notebook chip-level repair.

I noticed this forum, and must admit i've never seen so much information in one site. I'd like to learn how to read a laptop schematics, sometimes a bit confusing, and how to find damaged components.

I own a Aoyue 2702a+ rework station, weller pu solder station, various testers and magnification lenses. (I miss a good esr tester...but it's a matter of time).
