ViewSonic VX2235wm won't turn on, help please!
I was recently using my monitor and suddenly it just turned off and i can't power it on anymore even when i press the power button. i opened it up and i took some snap shots of the electronics or close-ups of the caps. there is cap that i saw that seems to be blown it has a black dot on it, but i am posting the images so that people with more experience can help me fix the situation if possible. thank you very much guys. attached are the images to the monitor....Last edited by r3m1x; 08-04-2014, 07:10 PM.

need cheap multimeter...
Hey guys, i'm looking for a cheap multi meter and i found like 2of them. One is a velleman dvm810 and the other is a a&d weighing ad-5526 multimeter. Now i think dvm810 is pretty good for 10 bucks. I probably won't use it that much. What do you guys recommend for a cheap value? Thanks for replies.

Re: ViewSonic VX2235wm...
hey guys, i have another different question. would the caps have anything to do with how the screen doesn't show, but only the blue light powers on, and if so, how can i safely change these bad caps. will the caps be safe to touch once i disconnect the power and give it a few minutes. also, can you guys recommend places where i could get these replacements on the attachments. thanks for your patience. i know i'm a noob, but with you guys help i can learn....

ViewSonic VX2235wm...
hello ladies and gentleman,
So i have a ViewSonic VX2235wm LCD display. The problem with my monitor is that whenever i power it on, the blue light comes on, but with a black screen. I have to disconnect and reconnect the VGA connector a couple of times on the monitor in order for the screen to show up. I'm not a technical person when it comes to LCD monitors and i did try to open it up to see if i could solve the problem, but i had no luck, however, i think the problem has to do with the VGA connector. After i finish using the monitor and turn it off for about an hour, then try to...Last edited by r3m1x; 10-20-2011, 08:30 AM.
