Re: XPS 13 9343 Identify burn motherboard component
Hello everyone. I happily inform that I actually replaced the burnt diode, and everything works correctly, it already detects the battery, the charger, it no longer gives error messages in BIOS and the laptop works correctly. Thanks to everyone who helped me solve this problem.

Re: Dell Latitude E5480 not charge battery
The problem is probably a blown diode on the motherboard. Disassemble the motherboard and carefully check all the components (on the back of the motherboard), when you identify it, replace it with an equivalent one, and do not use generic chargers in the laptop.

Re: XPS 13 9343 Identify burn motherboard component
Thanks for the answers. I have a couple of questions:
1- can I replace this diode with a "PESD5V0U2BT,215" ESD Suppressor Diode TVS Bi-Dir 5V Automotive 3-Pin SOT-23 T/R (I have some of this one available at the moment), I leave you the datasheet:

2- This diode has a ground and the line to protect, in the image that I originally posted, which is the ground and which is the line? As I said, I don't...

XPS 13 9343 Identify burn motherboard component
Hi, please I need your help with a serius problem, months ago my Dell XPS stopped charging, I tried all the recommended methods (try original charger, power connector cable, drain battery) but nothing worked. finaly I disassembled the motherboard and discovered that near the "PQ101" there is a burned component, but I cannot identify it to replace it. I leave a couple of photos, maybe you can help me. thaks a lot.
I am not an expert in electronics, and less in integrated circuits. When I tried to clean the surface of the component, it disintegrated a bit....Last edited by SMDFlea; 11-01-2022, 01:36 AM. Reason: copied images to badcaps from external image host
