Found this page while trying to use autopatcher with a t480s. The U49 25Q chip is the one you're looking for. It's located next to the RAM expansion slot, so close that an 8-pin clip has almost no clearance, but it will fit. There are other chips to be confused with so make sure you find the right one.
I also wondered if it was working because the screen was blank for a bit longer than I expected, but it did and I'm very happy.

I was looking for a schematic for my laptop and I found this forum. I sometimes fix electronics for myself. I wanted to keep this laptop going longer and I've discovered a short. I think I've fixed the short by removing the component now I need to figure out what it was doing and whether it was broken or the board.Leave a comment:
