hi! from the picture your PCB looks damaged. was the chip blown? also from what I gathered it looks like a vrm used for 1.8v rail (seems to be connected to the bios chip which is 1.8v, alongside other things) but it's hard to measure since this rail is shorted to ground on my motherboard (no idea if it's normal like the vcore) either way I have no idea what the chip is exactly but at least I can provide some pictures of my undamaged motherboard...2 Photos

hi! I just stumbled across your post, I have the same motherboard with a different problem (well, almost the same, I have a MS-15811 ver 2.1) unfortunately there doesn't seems to be any schematic available, but! I desoldered and checked the resistors you needed and I have their values, the first one seems to be a shunt (I'm reading around 0.1ohm with my DMM and 0.0050 with my shorty with display) so I marked it 0.01 because I'm not 100% sure but I don't think it really matter, and the second one I'm reading 433k, hope it helps!!1 Photo

well it seems that I was wrong! I just saw someone measuring around 0.150ohm on a known good RTX 3060 ti saying that it's normal for recent GPUs to have such a low reading, I definitely didn't know about that, my bad!
also did you find the issue on your laptop gshark1?...

hi! thanks for the response, yes you're right! from experience sometimes smd caps and stuffs can go short just because they feel like to, or sometimes it's a symptom of another cause, that's why you never assume and it's important to verify, in my case it's really a short though (reading 0.1ohm between vcore and ground) and there's no power getting into the GPU! (but yeah I should've been more precise, I'm kinda new on the forum so sorry about that ^^')Last edited by tronitas46; 01-01-2024, 01:25 AM.

hi! I have an MSI laptop with a rtx 3060 with the same issue, although I'm unsure if it had BSODs since it's a laptop someone gave me, the laptop works just fine with the IGP but the 3060 is nowhere to be seen, just like you I checked all the software possibilities with no success, then I decided to take a look at the hardware and found that the power delivery GPU side was shorted to ground, at the moment I'm not properly equipped to diagnose dead shorts so I haven't checked it further, but maybe you have the same problem

need schematic or boardview for MSI katana GF66 (MS-15811)
hi! I'm looking for a schematic or boardview for a MSI katana GF66 (i7-11800H and RTX 3060) board is a MS-15811 ver 2.1 if someone have it I'll be very grateful! though I don't have much hope since I did a lot of research, checked all the websites that I know of and I didn't find it, even someone on vinafix asked for it 6 months ago and he got answered that it was currently unavailable, but I'm still asking! we never know, thanks!!Last edited by tronitas46; 12-15-2023, 03:06 PM.

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hello all!
I'm Nathan, and I'm from Québec in Canada, I love audio and computer stuff, and especially (trying to) repair them, I really want to learn more about how electronics works and how to repair them, I came across this website/forum while searching schematics for GPUs, and so far I really like this forum and everyone seems very friendly! and I really want to thanks everyone for all the schematics available here!!
