I have a similar problem. I returned home from vacation and my RS 1500 was completely dead. I have opened it and replaced all the big caps but still no sign of life, exactly as you mentioned in your post.
Did you fix yours?

Hi everybody!

I am new to this forum as you can imagine. Occasionally I am doing repairs by myself, but as I lost contact with this field a couple of decades ago, I am practically at a beginner level. For me is just a hobby, making me remember the times when, as a student, I was repairing all sorts of devices and also have built from bits and pieces Sinclair Spectrum compatible computers. Time passed by, but still I enjoy to repair my devices when I have the spare time required.
